Full-Time Highway Department Full Time Employee
Thomas County Highway Department is accepting applications for one full-time employee. The work will consist of maintaining county and township roads, flagging, installing signs, driving truck, snow removal, etc. Work is carried out following prescribed policies, rules, and procedures. Normal work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Must be able to work weekends during bad weather and the asphalt season. Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent and hold a valid CDL or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Thomas County Highway Department maintains a safe work environment; therefore, drug and alcohol will be required. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour plus benefits with a possible increase after a six month training period.
