Located in Northwest Kansas, Advantage Architectural Woodwork offers the ability to create the finest quality, hand-crafted products for our clients while being situated in the charming town of Colby, KS.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Coordinate with Sales Team & Architects regarding project details and technical information
  • Manage multiple projects with overlapping or staggering start and delivery schedules
  • Develop shop drawings for projects utilizing AutoCAD software for complex project assemblies
  • Develop cutlists using RA Workshop window/door software and or Microsoft Excel
  • Implement new database creation and further develop and complete existing databases for our RA Workshop software
  • Coordinate and manage material take-offs, ordering, and sourcing, including but not limited to: wood, hardware, aluminum cladding, glass, and misc. components required for manufacturing
  • Other duties may include, project detailing and takeoffs, proposal creation, coordination with manufacturing
  • Willingness to learn and master the Passive Haus Institute’s PHPP software for energy balance calculations of high performance buildings
  • Interest in the Passive Haus construction concepts
  • Work with our European smartwin partners on development and fine tuning of documents and projects

Background/Experience /Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Background with AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of RA Workshop window/door software and/or Microsoft Excel
  • Must be detail-oriented, resourceful, organized, and possess good time management skills
  • Must coordinate multiple schedules and timetables to meet rigorous deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn new programs, products and systems such as Passive Haus Institute’s PHPP software for energy balance calculations of high performance buildings
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent and innovative ability to solve problems
  • Must be familiar with reading architectural blue prints and shop drawings
  • Reliable transportation needed
  • Punctual and mindful of deadlines

  • Conversational German language is a plus

Compensation:

  • Full time position
  • $60,000-$80,000*
  • *Commensurate with background & experience
  • Profit sharing opportunities available
  • Health care, paid vacation and paid holidays available
